Raised in the suburbs of Northern Philadelphia, Mary’s personable and outgoing attitude made the hospitality field a natural choice. Throughout her college career in Western Pennsylvania, she held many front of house positions, ultimately accepting management jobs at local bars and restaurants. After graduating with a degree in business management, Mary returned to Philadelphia to further her career in the industry. Beginning at the entry level, Mary assumed every role in a variety of restaurants honing her skill not only with guest services but with employee relations as well. Her demonstrated success in guest satisfaction made her the perfect fit when the Vetri Family began its search for an events coordinator in 2007.
The company exemplifies all that Mary believes in; combining the best in culinary skill with the best in service. It is no surprise, given her passionate love of great food that she married locally acclaimed executive chef, Matt Moon in the fall of 2008. (Yes she did the wedding planning!)
Utilizing years of experience, Mary worked hands-on as events coordinator with each of her clients to create individualized events that are not just planned dinners, but unique and memorable dining experiences. Mary continued to develop innovative approaches to the catering department so that she could insure the entire family delivered an event that exceeds expectations.
While creating and maintaining our events department, Mary also served as Assistant GM at Osteria. After opening and training the staff at Alla Spina, she returned to Osteria as General Manager.
